VMOS Edge Privacy Policy

Last Updated: February 10, 2026Effective Date: February 10, 2026

1. Introduction

VMOS Edge (hereinafter referred to as "we," "us," or "our") highly values the privacy protection of our users. As a tool-based product focusing on edge computing and Android container technology, we adhere to the core philosophy of "Privacy Compliance, Minimalist Collection, and Security Transparency."

This product is designed based on the principle of "No Account Login, Zero Sensitive Permission Requests." This policy aims to explain how we handle a minimal amount of necessary non-personally identifiable information (Non-PII) during your use of the service to ensure you receive a clean and secure edge computing experience.

2. How We Collect and Use Information

To maintain the core operation of our services, optimize connection quality, and ensure system security, we only collect the following basic information within the necessary scope:

  • Anonymous Device Identifiers: We do not require you to register or log in. To ensure that you can consistently and stably access the cloud instances (Containers) you create on the same device, we record your anonymous device identifier (such as OAID, UUID, or a generated unique device ID). This information is used only for mapping the device to the cloud instances and cannot be used to trace or identify your real identity.
  • Performance and Crash Logs: When the application exits abnormally or crashes, we collect necessary system environment information (such as app version, OS version, and crash stack traces). This data is used solely for troubleshooting, performance optimization, and stability improvements.
  • Network Status Information: We record your current network type (e.g., WiFi, 5G/4G). This information helps us automatically allocate the most suitable edge computing node with the lowest latency based on your real-time network environment.

Core Principle: We DO NOT collect your phone number, ID number, precise geographic location, contacts, SMS, call logs, or any form of third-party social account information.

3. Statement on Device Permissions

VMOS Edge strictly follows the "Principle of Least Privilege." In its default state:

  • No Sensitive Permissions: This application does not actively request system permissions involving personal private information, such as Camera, Microphone, Precise Location, Contacts, SMS, or Call Logs.
  • Storage Access: We do not silently read your local storage. We will only request necessary storage read/write permissions when you actively initiate "File Extraction" or "File Import" operations within the cloud phone/container, and such access is limited to the files you explicitly select.

4. Information Storage and Protection

  1. Data Not Stored Locally: Since this product does not have an account system, all your business operation data is encrypted and stored on cloud edge nodes, and no sensitive data is retained on your physical device.
  2. Use and Delete: When you actively destroy or reset a cloud instance within the client, all running data associated with that instance (including image data, app data, etc.) will be permanently erased and is unrecoverable at the physical media level.
  3. Security Safeguards: We use industry-standard security encryption protocols (such as TLS/SSL) to protect data transmission between the client and the cloud, preventing information from being intercepted or tampered with by third parties.

5. Information Sharing and Disclosure

  • No Commercial Sharing: We promise not to sell, rent, or share any anonymous information collected with any third-party advertising platforms, data mining agencies, or marketing organizations.
  • Clean and Trace-free: The application does not integrate any third-party SDKs for user profiling, behavior statistics, or targeted advertising.

6. Protection of Minors

Although this product does not collect personally identifiable information, we still recommend that minors use it under the supervision of a guardian. We will protect the data security of minors in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

7. Contact Us

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions regarding this Privacy Policy, you can contact us through our official channels or the contact information provided in the Documentation Center. We will provide answers in a timely manner.
